Knights! Dragons! Wizards! Damsels in Distress!
Kazoos???

Songs of daring-do with nary a hey nonny nonny. The Boogie Knights have parodied everything from commercial jingles to TV and movie themes, from golden oldies to the latest top-40 songs.

Our latest songbook, "Five Shows Knightly" which contains the lyrics to all five of our CDs, is sold out.

Three of our CDs "Many a Sleepless Knight", "Hysterically Inaccurate", and "Many a Sleepless Knight", are still available.

The Boogie Knights have a group on Yahoo! If you'd like to be kept up to date on Boogie Knights concerts and CDs, please join bk-filk.  We also have a  page on MySpace http://www.myspace.com/bkfilk and a group on Facebook "Boogie Knights (Maryland) [http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=80246195680]".

We're in Wikipedia!  Well, we were in Wikipedia until they decided we weren't famous enough.  [sigh]What's ironic is they pulled us just before our picture appeared in the 10 July 2008 Baltimore Sun accompanying an article about Shore Leave celebrating its 30th Anniversary.  (Our picture took up a full third of the printed page!)

And we're on YouTube! gwutaylor posted I Walk the Road from Shore Leave 2006 and Oscar Cwajbaum recorded/posted 8 songs from Dragon*Con 2005 and 11 songs from Dragon*Con 2007 and now there are a bunch from folks at I-Con 2008.  GryphynClyph posted "Madagascar" (Yes, Lemurs!) from the charity concert and Shawan747 posted "Earth Magic Girls", "Pooka", "Bastille", and "Madagascar" (more Lemurs!) from Farpoint 2009.

KNIGHTLY NEWS:

27 My 10 - Three, count 'em Three concerts at ConCarolinas The Knights will be the opening act at the Time Travelers' Ball Friday night. Then we'll have full concerts Saturday night and Sunday morning.

30 Jan 10 - Sorry for the Long Absence The Knights have not had any concerts since last July and your kindly web mistress was distracted with the purchase of a new home.

24 May 09 - New concert! - 9PM Sunday night at Balticon in Salons E & F of the Hunt Valley Marriott Inn.

21 Mar 09 - Lady Sarah is performing in "Beauty and the Beast" at Toby's dinner theater in Baltimore Maryland, 21 March - 14 June.

16 Feb 09 - Farpoint went well.  The concert was well received. A good friend was even able to record and post a few videos:  "Earth Magic Girls" and "Madagascar (a.k.a. Lemurs)".

1 Jan 09 - The Lady Pinque, her husband Sir Hollin Totes, and Lady Dionne of Warwicke spent New Year's Eve watching Sir John of Denver performing the role of Jinx in the play "Plaid Tidings" (a Christmas sequel to the play "Forever Plaid") at Toby's Dinner Theatre in Columbia, MD.  Great show, nice cabaret and dancing, champagne toast at midnight, and a breakfast buffet.  Wonderful way to ring in the new year! And, by the way, our own Sir John recieved rave reviews from Carolyn Kelemen of the Howard County Times: "Tenor John Sheeler almost steals the show with his rendition of 'Besame Mucho,' a tribute to Rosemary Clooney, and the emotionally charged 'Home For The Holidays,' ..." and Karl Hille of The Baltimore Examiner: "As Jinx, John Scheeler's performance of "Besame Mucho/Kiss of Fire" is exceptional. Perfectly on pitch, he sings with a passion that makes audience members sit up and listen. It's perhaps the best solo performance of the entire show."

8 Nov 08 - The charity concert at the Riverside Theater in Baltimore was a great success.  Despite a shortage of parking, eighty people made it to the concert and we raised $560 each for the Tommy Fund for Childhood Cancer and the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society.  We are grateful to everyone who attended (or even tried to attend) and we hope you all enjoyed the show.  At two and a half hours, it was the longest Boogie Knights concert ever.
